the barley fields of the broadlough estate, sweeping down to the murrough wetlands
Working with Nature
Broadlough Whiskey is committed to Grain to Glass traceability, using barley grown on our estate, yeast, and the purest of spring water to distill our whiskey.
The result is a premium whiskey which is rich and deep in both flavour and “terroir”.

A Unique Ecosystem
The Wicklow Broadlough is a central element of the Murrough Wetlands Conservation Area, due to its surrounding salt marshes which host a wide range of protected wildlife species.

The Soil of the Estate
Grown on the rolling hills of our estate, surrounding the brackish lakes of Wicklow Broadlough, our barley crops are unique, owing to the mineral alluvium soil with its high organic material content, which is only found here.
